Day 02 |
Siem Reap
After breakfast you will start your morning visit the Temples of the Forest.
Travel by tuk-tuk towards Ta Prohm Temple and Srah Srang. This jungle-clad temple with overgrown trees exudes a haunting and exotic atmosphere. The magnificent roots of a tree push between the temple's huge stone blocks in a strange embrace.
Nearby Ta Prohm is the temple ruins of Ta Nei, we will pause for a light breakfast at the temples of fresh croissants, seasonal fruit, juice, TWG tea and coffee in a quiet and beautiful spot.
Further through the forest we come upon the Victory Gate of Angkor Thom, memorable for its colossal heads of gods and demons. Walk (600 yards) along the 30ft high laterite city wall to the enchanting East Gate (Gate of Death).
Return by road to Siem Reap for lunch (Guest account).
Afternoon we’ll explore the Angkor Thom and the Temples of Bayon, Baphoun, Phimeanakas, and the Terraces of Elephants.
A short drive through the forest crosses the ancient city from the Victory Gate to the West Gate. A boatman will row you in a traditional gondola the length of the navigable moat. This ancient Angkorian waterway, once the home to 10,000 crocodiles, is the perfect stage to enjoy a late afternoon drink and watch the sunset over the water.

Day 03 |
Siem Reap
This morning before sunrise, depart the hotel for Angkor Wat to witness sunrise, the largest and most breathtaking monument at Angkor. For a more tranquil sunrise experience let us lead you through the back door of Angkor Wat, the east entrance, to avoid the camera wielding crowds at the main gate.
We recommend exploring this iconic temple in the hours immediately after sunrise.
Return to your hotel for a later breakfast.
Afternoon your guide will meet you at lobby of your hotel. Choose one option from below Option 1: Countryside Senses Discovery Begin at a contemporary pagoda learning Buddhism and seeking blessing from the monks, easy walk about 20 minutes reaching the man-made reservoir, then cross reservoir by boat and continue the journey to rice paddies and villages, can buy seasonal fruits from the tree and speak to families who have specialized in baking sticky rice in bamboo. Then reach private villa with sunset drink.
Option 2: Fishing Lifestyles on Tonle Sap Lake Tonle Sap is the richest frsh water fishing ground in the world. The communities living around the margins cope with huge seasonal variations in water level, building their homes on rafts or on 30ft stilts. It is well worth the extra effort to get away from the touristy village of Chong Kneas to these more genuine stilted villages to watch people go about their work. Voyage the great Lake on private boat. Wandering through the village we will have the opportunity to climb up into the houses. Your guide will translate, allowing you to speak with the villagers to gain an understanding of their unique lifestyle. and perhaps learn how to handle a ‘cast fishing’ net. Later we can cruise from the village to the main body of the lake past floating houses, fishermen and mangroves or flooded forest and drop anchor out on the expansive water. In the stillness of your surrounds enjoy a picnic lunch on board.
You'll be back at your hotel in Siem Reap early evening. Enjoy the evening at your leisure.
