Day 01 |
Kilimanjaro
On arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport you will be met by your Asilia driver who will transfer you to Arumeru River Lodge for your overnight stay. Located just outside of Arusha, Arumeru River Lodge offers the ideal location from which to start your safari adventure.
Freshen up after your journey to Tanzania and unwind in the lush gardens before enjoying a delicious meal.
The garden is home to many Dikdiks, the smallest antelopes in Africa. These cute little animals can be observed at close range. Enjoy your first “wildlife encounter” by just walking in the tropical garden.
Get an early nights rest before your safari itinerary kicks off in the morning!

Day 02 |
Oliver's Camp, Tarangire
After an early breakfast, pack your bags and depart with your Asilia driver through Arusha and to Arusha Airport. Connect with your Air Excel flight to Kuro Airstrip in Tarangire National Park. On arrival at Kuro Airstrip, you will be met by your guide from Oliver’s Camp. A welcome table will be set up either at the airstrip or a short distance away, with tea and coffee, cold drinks and snacks allowing you to refresh while your guide briefs you on the surrounding area. A short game drive takes you into Oliver’s Camp.
Once in camp lunch will be served with the opportunity to relax and settle into your new surroundings. Once refreshed, you will head into the bush for an afternoon game drive. You return to camp in time to wash away the days adventure before enjoying a delicious dinner and drinks around the camp fire.
**Oliver’s Camp is located in what is no doubt the most spectacular location in the park close to the animal dense Silale Swamps. Overlooking a flood plain of the Minyoyo Pools, part of the Tarangire River, the camp has a spectacular view and easy access to a dense concentration of wildlife. Day 03 |
Oliver's Camp, Tarangire
After an early breakfast in camp, head to the lounge tent where you will be met by your expert guide and head out into the bush on foot for a morning walking Safari in Tarangire National Park. There is no better way to experience the wilderness of East Africa up close and personal than on foot with the sun rising in the background. The morning walk will last for around 3-4 hours (temperature dependent), offering the chance to spot giraffe, buffalo, elephant, gazelle and of course the everpresent predators.
A picnic lunch will be served under the shade of the large baobab tress that dots the landscape, before your journey back to camp for a well-deserved rest. Once you are relaxed and refreshed you will enjoy dinner at the camp and head to the campfire where whiskies are poured and safari tales are told late into the night.

Day 04 |
The Highlands, Ngorongoro
After breakfast, you will be transferred to Kuro Airstrip for your Air Excel flight to Manyara Airstrip. On arrival at Lake Manyara you will be met by an Asilia driver guide and transferred to Lake Manyara National Park.
One of the smaller parks in Tanzania, Lake Manyara offers a microcosm of the safari experience to be found in Tanzania. The diverse landscape includes lush ground water forest hosting baboons, monkeys and canopy dwelling birdlife. Grassy floodplains play home to larger mammals like buffalo, wildebeest, zebra and giraffe. Inland one might find the famous tree climbing lions and herds of elephant. In addition to the wildlife, over 400 species of birds have been recorded within the park. Enjoy a delicious packed lunch from Asilia.
In the afternoon, make your way up the Ngorongoro Conservation Area to The Highlands, the newest addition to the Asilia portfolio. While en-route, don’t forget to admire the spectacular views of the ancient volcanoes that make up the landscape.
Once in camp, relax and unwind after the adventure of the long day. Once refreshed make your way to the dining tent where you will enjoy a delicious three course meal prepared by the amazing chef. You will also have the opportunity to enjoy a drink by the bar or relax by the indoor wood burning camp fire.

Day 05 |
The Highlands, Ngorongoro Crater
An early start to the day is the best in order to avoid the influx of tourists into the Ngorongoro Crater. The park gate opens at 06h00, so it is best to be there as close to this time as possible.
The Ngorongoro Crater is a large, unbroken, un-flooded caldera, formed when a giant volcano erupted and collapsed some three million years ago. Had it not become a caldera, it is possible that the volcanic mountain would be about the same height as Kilimanjaro. Down on the crater floor there is an abundance of wildlife including black rhino, wildebeest, zebra and eland. There are a number of lion which are typically larger in size than an average lion due to the large amount of game in the area. The crater floor tends to get very busy, with there often being numerous vehicles ay any wildlife sighting.
Enjoy a packed lunch under the trees of the crater floor, but keep an eye out for the monkey’s which are always keen to take advantage of an opportunistic moment. In the afternoon, drive up and out of the crater and back down the road towards The Highlands camp. Once in camp relax and unwind before sitting down to a delicious home cooked meal.

Day 06 |
Dunia Camp, Serengeti
After an early breakfast, pack your bags and meet your guide for your transfer to Manyara Airstrip. Here you will say farewell to your Asilia driver guide and connect with your Regional Air flight to Seronera Airstrip in the Central Serengeti. On arrival at Seronera you will be met by a resident guide from Dunia Camp. A welcome table will be set up at either the airstrip or a short distance away.
Once in camp you will have the opportunity to refresh and settle into your new surroundings before enjoying to the dining area for lunch. You then have the choice to either relax in camp or head out on an afternoon game drive in a open safari vehicle. Once back at camp you will enjoy a three course meal while enjoying a drink around the camp fire with fellow friends.

Day 07 |
Dunia Camp, Serengeti
After an early breakfast in camp fetch your binoculars and camera and meet your guide driver and depart on a game drive in the Serengeti National Park. You will then have the opportunity to view all the local inhabitants and wildlife pertinent to the Serengeti as it offers the best game viewing in Africa. You will stop and enjoy a delicious packed lunch from Dunia Camp before heading back to camp.
Once back at camp you will have the opportunity to relax and refresh before meeting everyone in the dining area for a three course home cooked meal prepared by the amazing chefs. You can also enjoy a refreshing gin and tonic around the camp fire while talking about the adventures of the day.

Day 08 |
Sayari Camp, Serengeti
After breakfast depart with your guide to Seronera Airstrip for your Regional Air flight to Kogatende Airstrip in the Northern Serengeti. On arrival at Kogatende Airstrip you will be met by a resident guide from Sayari Camp. A welcome table will be set up for you with a brief introduction into the surrounding area before heading on a game drive en-route to camp.
Once at camp lunch will be served with an opportunity to relax and settle in. You will then have the option of either relaxing in camp or heading out on an afternoon game drive in an open safari vehicle. Once back at camp you will have a chance to freshen up before heading to the dining tent for dinner and drinks.
**Sayari Camp: A spectacular 15 tented camp on the Mara River in the northern part of the Serengeti, Sayari Camp ensures intimacy and personal service at all times. Each of the 15 luxury guests tents are very spacious and have a comfortable kind size bed and a large veranda, overlooking the Serengeti. Day 10

Kilimanjaro
After breakfast, pack your bags and depart for Kogatende Airstrip for your Regional Air flight to Kilimanjaro Airport.
